Confirmation

Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of Initiation into the Church, along with Baptism and First Communion. Those being confirmed receive a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit and a deepening of the Baptismal graces to help live a deeper commitment to God through the Catholic faith.  According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, it "perfects the graces received at Baptism, empowering us to be followers of the Lord and co-workers for the kingdom" (CCC 1316). Through Confirmation we are confirmed (or strengthened) to live out the Christian life.

This year in the Diocese of Erie, Confirmation is received by students in their sophomore and junior year of high school.  Please contact Sergio Cortes, Director of Youth Faith Formation for more information or visit the Religious Education section under the Faith Formation tab.

The Confirmation date for this year is May 23, 2023, at 7PM.

If you are an adult and would like to be confirmed, please contact either Amy Mosbacher, Director of Adult Faith Formation or Deacon Todd Sommers.
